I got this Ecosummer set hoping for a comfortable barbell alternative. The PU coating is nice—it doesn't smell like rubber and feels smooth. The padded grip is indeed comfortable for deadlifts and rows. However, the weight plates are a bit loose on the bar; they slide around more than I'd like. The total weight (46.78 lb) includes the bar, so actual plate weight is less. Also, the max advertised is 40lb, so it's light for serious lifters. The collars are plastic and don't tighten very securely. For light training or rehab, it's okay, but don't expect it to hold up to heavy drops. The price is reasonable for a starter barbell set.
